Overview

Stradbroke Island Holiday Beach Houses - The Keep  is located on the highest land at beautiful Point Lookout. The wonderful Green House  in a unique frontage position on the junction of Home and Cylinder Beaches.

The houses sleep 8 persons and are self-contained on each level and are designed for relaxing living with furnished decks connecting to living and kitchen areas. Large fixed glass panels in the lounge rooms allow ocean views and light to penetrate the houses.

The whale watching towers are outstanding features of these houses. They are easily accessible from the decks and are the highest floors at Point Lookout providing a perfect setting for evening drinks while taking in the sunsets or to observe the wonderful annual migration of humpback whales.

Excellent ocean views in a bushland setting, easy walk to the surf beach and handy to everything. The Green House has all the facilities of the Keep.

I stayed with a group of friends for a long weekend. we loved every second of it. The house was fantastic and relaxing. Getting There

Stradbroke Island may be accessed by road, rail or bus by travelling approximately 40 - 60 minutes from Brisbane Airport or City to Cleveland on Brisbane's eastern bayside.

Regular, hassle free, drive on/drive off vehicle barge services operate from Toondah Harbour at Cleveland and it is a pleasant 50 minute barge ride across Moreton Bay to Dunwich on the Island. A barge discount is available to Keep customers.

Alternatively a 30 minute water taxi passenger service to Dunwich operates from the Harbour.

Point Lookout is a comfortable 15-20 minute drive across the island from Dunwich and a local bus meets incoming water taxis.

Children / Extra Guests

2 extra people are permitted for residence at an additional daily rate of $15 per extra person.

3 Bedroom The Keep
The kitchens on the upper level are fully equipped with modern appliances are a pleasure to use joining the dining lounge and deck areas. The main bedroom has an ensuite with the option of a nursery off the main bedroom for family use.

The lower floor has, 2 bedrooms, bathroom and a lounge and kitchenette opening onto a deck area with wonderful ocean views.

3 Bedroom The Green House
The well equipped modern kitchen on the upper level features quality fittings, dishwasher, microwave and electric barbeque. The kitchen connects to the deck area for meals and outdoor dining.

The upper level has the the main bedroom (queen size / 2 way bathroom) and the second bedroom has 2 singles with ocean views.

The lower level has ocean views and a kitchenette, two futons in the lounge and a bathroom / laundry. The bedroom on this level has a queen size bed.
